It has been a year since I last posted here. By far, last year was the roughest duration in my life. There were firsts and many lasts. Some courses in life I couldn't control and people showed their true colors. Every time I felt as if I overcame a situation, something else would happen like a domino effect. I kept reminding myself to maintain my strength and my energy. But honestly, there were many days I felt as if motivation was nonexistent. Getting out of bed became a chore. Days felt long, and nights felt longer. Sometimes I put on a face in the day, but cry with a troubled mind and heart to sleep. I wanted to be better, but to do so I needed to be patient with myself. I told myself that it's okay to feel. It's okay to be down, as long as I shift back to the present. But today, today I can confidently say that I am absolutely happy with everything and everyone who has been giving me the most support and love.

My mom tells me, "Stacey, it's only the beginning." She's right. There is so much more that I will need to overcome and will achieve. There is no need to be so hung up on what has already happened. These past months, I have been mainly focusing on finishing school, hustling at work, and making time for my love ones. Going to the gym has also been a part of my weekly routine. I try to go at least 4-6 times a week. I don't only focus on improving physically, but also mentally and emotionally. The instructors from the classes there have given me so much motivation. Every step and move that I carry out, I make sure that I do it with a purpose. It's crazy to see how much time has gone by, but there is always time to be back on my feet!

Thank you for taking your time to read this post. The main purpose was really for me to accept and move on. Two more weeks til graduation, and I'm so stoked! Stacey's back, so stay tuned for upcoming projects! ;)

  1. I've felt like that before. Especially when I was done post secondary school and couldn't find a job and I felt like everyone just didn't care!

    Thanks for sharing!
